  • Proper chair adjustments instruction
  • With chair adjusted correctly determine recommended desk height by measuring from floor to bottom of elbow
  • Observe employee working on computer
  • Verify if monitor is positioned at eye level (if not, adjust monitor to meet requirement)
  • Verify if monitor is positioned at correct viewing distance by measuring distance from employees eyes to monitor screen
  • Verify position of keyboard and mouse within primary reach
  • Observe employee typing and using mouse, suggest alternative methods or devices if awkward postures noted
  • Verify that employee has and uses telephone headset while on phone meetings
  • Discuss with employee about document holder use and needs
  • Discuss with employee notebook carrying options and bags
  • Discuss with employee importance of taking breaks and following break reminder software advice
  • Discuss with employees work habits outside of office, provide recommendations for:
    1. Working in conference rooms
    2. Working at home or while traveling
